BRUSHLESS MOTOR POWER
AEG’s advanced FUSION brushless motors deliver more power and up to 50% longer runtime on a battery than equivalent tools with brushed motors. FUSION motors last up to twice as long as their brushed equivalents and their built-in electronics ensure you’ll notice the power upgrade in your tools instantly.
AEG’s software engineers have designed the inbuilt intelligent electronics in our FUSION tools that optimise the power and performance of our FORCE batteries. Components in the batteries and tools communicate with each other to extract the right amount of energy to match the application you’re working on.
What does class-leading performance actually mean? It means having the power tools and batteries that outperform competitors’ products head-to-head, such as an Impact Driver with 6 usable modes (and 280Nm of torque), and a Paddle Switch Angle Grinder with 11,000rpm for faster cutting and grinding.
EVEN BETTER BATTERIES
When AEG moved from Pro-Lithium batteries to FORCE technology, the performance increase was significant. Then engineers extracted even more from the battery by increasing cell spacing to minimise heat transfer and making the weld straps thicker for better electron flow, thus raising the level of power the battery can deliver.
AEG’s Battery Management System (BMS) received a substantial upgrade, too, providing better overcurrent protection, thermal cut-out and low voltage cut-out. All tools can now receive up to 25% more power from a FORCE battery, and FUSION tools benefit even more.

Now, slimmer 18V 3.0Ah FORCE HD (High Density) battery packs hold the equivalent energy of an 18V 6.0Ah FORCE unit. While 23% smaller and 19% lighter, the 18V 3.0Ah FORCE HD batteries are still compatible with all new and existing AEG 18V tools.
